What is a Yohgo?
A Yohgo is a digital I.O.U. It can be used in exchange for the services you need. Normally, when you do someone a favour, the onus to return the favour remains solely with the person who received the favour. Likewise, the only person they owe a favour to, is you. This 2-way arrangement means if the person who received the favour can’t offer anything you want in return, you lose out. Yohgos fix this.
How do Yohgos fix this?
Yohgos reflect the value of services you have provided. You can then use the Yohgos you have earned to draw on any listed service from anyone in the Yohgo community. This allows person A to perform a service for person B. In turn, person A can use their Yohgos to get person C to perform a service, even though person C had nothing to do with the original agreement.
So does person B get off scot free?
No, person B completed their side of the bargain by providing person A with Yohgos. They don’t owe person A anything beyond that.
What stops person B from just receiving services and never offering them?
You can only get Yohgos by providing services to others. Person B would run out of Yohgos and must provide a service before he can get another service.
How do I make an offer?
- Making an offer is easy
- First, click the ‘Requests and Offers’ button in the top bar.
- Then select the ‘Offers’ button.
- You will be brought to a menu where you will select the blue ‘Create new service offer’ button.
- Next, you will be brought to a page where a number of fields must be filled in including the service you are providing, the start time after which the service will begin to be offered, and the duration for which the offer will remain active.

What do the numbers in the top right corner mean?
These numbers represent the number of Yohgos and Yokens present in your account in the form Yohgos/Yokens.
What is a Yoken?
A Yoken is the payment similar to pay-as-you-go phone credit that Yohgo receives which allows us to maintain the service. It is also used to ensure that a transaction is completed and the ratings recorded. It equates to a small amount of monetary value. A Yoken is used for each transaction.
Why do we need Yokens?
At Yohgo, we're kind people. We give you enough Yokens upon sign up to engage in some transactions before you need to buy any. It is not possible to use Yohgos in the place of Yokens. There is no rate of exchange between Yohgos and Yokens.
Who can match my offers and requests?
Offers can be tracked using Yohgo’s browse feature. This means anyone who sees one of your offers or requests can match it and trigger an introduction request, which will appear as a notification in your mailbox, prompting you to check your ‘My matches’ section. This section can be reached by clicking on the notification.
So any Tom, Dick or Harry can accept my offer or request?
Anybody can match your offer or request, but you have the choice to whether or not to accept the introduction. Contact information is swapped only when both parties agree.
What if I decide I don’t want to agree to a match request?
That’s absolutely fine. None of your profile details will be released to the requester as you will only be identifiable by an ID number and your first name. Your offer or request will remain live until you accept a match, when your offer or request expires or when you delete it.
What happens if I do want to agree to a match?
Introduction requests appear in the ‘My matches’ section and can also be found by clicking the relevant message in the notifications section. If you decide to make an introduction, follow the instructions on screen and your contact details will be swapped. This allows you to make precise arrangements as well as deciding exactly how many Yohgos a transaction will cost.
What happens once we have swapped information?
Pick up the phone, send a text or send an email. This way, you can confirm all the details of the match. If, for example, you need to specify a pickup location, tell the other person what colour your car is, or make a slight change to the timing etc., you will be able to contact the other party in order to do so. Yohgo provides a platform for people to supply a service to people with a demand for it, without the need for money to change hands.
How can I make sure I am getting rated?
The building of trust is an integral part of the Yohgo ethos. With that in mind, we place a huge amount of importance on members of the community both reviewing those they have dealt with and also receiving reviews. To ensure this, if you are performing a service, you will not receive Yohgos due to you from the service until you have rated the service recipient. In addition, when you have used a service, you will get a Yoken back once you have submitted a review.
